(WSVN) &#8211; A highly intelligent dog in Tampa managed to report himself missing and was reunited with his owner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The German shepherd could be seen on security footage walk right up to the Tampa Police station and say hello to the officers who opened to door.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police said they took the K-9 to a vet first to be checked out, then located the animal\u2019s owner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dog was microchipped, which led to sweet reunion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m not so good I lost my dog,\u201d said a woman on bodycam footage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI have him,\u201d said an officer on bodycam footage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou have him, really?!\u201d Said a woman on bodycam footage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYeah, just wanted to make sure because he ran up to the police department, so I had him in the car,\u201d said an officer on body cam footage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police added that it\u2019s a good reminder for all owners to get their animals microchipped.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Sunbeam Television Corp.
