{"id":423183,"date":"2026-10-09T11:24:10","date_gmt":"2026-10-09T11:24:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/423183\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T11:24:10","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T11:24:10","slug":"8-injured-after-jfk-bound-avianca-flight-from-medellin-diverts-to-mia-due-to-turbulence-wsvn-7news-miami-news-weather-sports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/423183\/","title":{"rendered":"8 injured after JFK-bound Avianca flight from Medell\u00edn diverts to MIA due to turbulence &#8211; WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MIAMI (WSVN) &#8211; Rescue crews took eight people to the hospital after a flight heading to New York City was diverted to Miami International Airport due to turbulence, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7News cameras captured paramedics with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue wheeling one of the victims into Jackson Memorial Hospital, early Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In total, MDFR officials said, eight people were hurt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to MIA officials, the victims were on Avianca Flight 42, which was traveling from Medell\u00edn, Colombia to New York\u2019s John F. Kennedy International Airport, when it experienced turbulence, and they ended up hurt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The extent of these victims\u2019 injuries is unclear.
