{"id":423219,"date":"2026-10-09T12:08:56","date_gmt":"2026-10-09T12:08:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/423219\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T12:08:56","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T12:08:56","slug":"attorney-general-says-hell-investigate-broward-schools-tech-contracts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/423219\/","title":{"rendered":"Attorney General says he&#8217;ll investigate Broward schools tech contracts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said his office will investigate the Broward school district\u2019s efforts to secure technology contracts following the release of a scathing report by Broward County\u2019s chief watchdog.<\/p>\n<p>A report released last week by Broward County\u2019s Office of Inspector General accused several district employees of mismanaging the bidding process and misleading the board, and one employee of steering business to a vendor. A vendor was accused of submitting false information to win a district contract. All have denied any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of Inspector General referred the report to the Broward State Attorney\u2019s Office. But now it could face a statewide review.
