TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Elder Care Services is working to ensure its clients stay safe as Hurricane Isaias approaches. <\/p>\n
The group\u2019s president, Jocelyne Fliger, says their teams help seniors with storm plans to make sure they\u2019re prepared. <\/p>\n
The center\u2019s president said they\u2019ll also follow up on Monday with volunteers and Meals on Wheels. Fliger said that during a storm like this one, their biggest concerns are immediate risks. <\/p>\n
\u201cTrying to avoid anyone having any major issues that could result in health issues or safety issues. So we will make sure that our highest risk clients are contacted several times. If they live alone, if they\u2019re in a mobile home, if they sustain any damage to their homes, like we want to know that so we can help get them assistance,\u201d Fliger said.<\/p>\n
Fliger said earlier today that they were able to give out some food bags to those who needed them and will help with any need once we\u2019re clear of the storm.<\/p>\n
