Ron DeSantis is set to hold another news conference on Friday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">DeSantis\u2019 office announced that he will hold the briefing in Tallahassee, flanked by Attorney General James Uthmeier and Florida Division of Emergency Management Executive Director Jared Perdue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">While the conference is slated for 11 p.m., no specific details have been provided about what the governor will discuss.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">[RELATED: Here\u2019s a look inside Isaias as it nears Florida]<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">DeSantis has already held several news conferences since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clickorlando.com\/news\/florida\/2026\/10\/07\/florida-gov-desantis-declares-state-of-emergency-ahead-of-tropical-depression\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.clickorlando.com\/news\/florida\/2026\/10\/07\/florida-gov-desantis-declares-state-of-emergency-ahead-of-tropical-depression\/\">he first declared a state of emergency<\/a> earlier this week, back when Isaias was still just a tropical depression.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Now, Isaias is expected to make landfall as early as Friday night, impacting much of the panhandle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">News 6 will stream the conference live when it happens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">PREVIOUS NEWS CONFERENCE<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">In a news conference Friday morning, DeSantis said the state has marshaled an extensive array of resources ahead of Hurricane Isaias\u2019 expected landfall, including more than 1,000 generators, half a million gallons of gasoline, 1 million gallons of diesel and more than 1 million bottles of water.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">He urged residents \u2014 especially those new to the region \u2014 to prepare now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">\u201cMake sure you have what you need \u2014 gasoline, any prescriptions, nonperishable food, water \u2014 to be able to get you through this, particularly [the] 72-hour period,\u201d DeSantis said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The governor also warned that storm impacts would extend well beyond the coastline, with saturated ground increasing flood risk across Northwest Florida.
