{"id":424881,"date":"2026-10-11T14:26:40","date_gmt":"2026-10-11T14:26:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/424881\/"},"modified":"2026-10-11T14:26:40","modified_gmt":"2026-10-11T14:26:40","slug":"man-pointed-rifle-at-people-inside-supermarket-in-orlando","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/424881\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Pointed Rifle at People Inside Supermarket in Orlando"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man pointed a rifle at people inside of a supermarket in Orlando.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Orlando Police Department,\u00a0officers recently responded to Sedano\u2019s Supermarket at 5660 Curry Ford Road after receiving multiple calls about a Hispanic male walking around the store with a rifle and reportedly pointing it at people inside.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/b4370751.assetcdn.net\/2.0\/4370751\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/JubyManuelVera.jpg?lossy=2&amp;strip=1&amp;webp=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-294929 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/JubyManuelVera-1024x462.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"314\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once inside the store, the suspect walked around with the rifle over his shoulder. He eventually went to the jewelry counter, where he pointed the rifle at a customer, according to local law enforcement. He then pointed it at a clerk and demanded a watch.<\/p>\n<p>After not receiving the watch, the suspect left the store on foot and headed westbound out of the parking lot, according to OPD.<\/p>\n<p>Responding police officers located the suspect at a nearby bus stop, still in possession of the rifle.<\/p>\n<p>OPD officers made contact with him and ordered him to put down the weapon and get on the ground. The suspect complied and was taken into custody.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Orlando Police Department, Juby Manuel Vera was arrested for attempted robbery with a firearm and aggravated assault with a firearm (x2).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man pointed a rifle at people inside of a supermarket in Orlando.
