October 11, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n\n Philadelphia kicker Jake Elliott had just nailed a field goal with only eight seconds left to play to give the Eagles what would surely be a nail-biting win.\n <\/p>\n
\n But just as quickly as the Philly fans began planning their night on the town in London, Jaguars running back Ameer Abdullah threw a wrench in those plans.\n <\/p>\n
\n Weaving his way through the desperate tackle attempts, Abdullah returned the corresponding kick off to field goal range before being tackled with just one second on the clock.\n <\/p>\n
\n Cam Little then stepped up and silenced the Philadelphia faithful, sealing a 19-17 victory for the Jags.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cOne of the craziest games, maybe the craziest game I\u2019ve ever been a part of,\u201d Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence said after the dramatic win. \u201cAnd I\u2019ve been in some pretty wild ones.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n After going in at halftime with the Eagles leading 14-7, the action had completely dried up for much of the second half. A Jags field goal was the only score in the first 27 minutes following the break.\n <\/p>\n
\n Both quarterbacks struggled to find any rhythm; constant flags stifled any semblance of flow and the football had seemingly become secondary to those in attendance.\n <\/p>\n
\n But out of nowhere, the game exploded into life.\n <\/p>\n
\n Lawrence, the sixth-year signal caller, found receiver Parker Washington in the end zone with just over three minutes left in the game to give Jacksonville the lead. Little, however, missed the extra point leaving the Jaguars up just 16-14.\n <\/p>\n
\n A field goal would surely be all the Eagles needed to take the win and after a punt from each side, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts marched Philly\u2019s O down the field.\n <\/p>\n
\n It was a side of Philadelphia\u2019s offense that had been lacking all second half. The team seemed to have finally found the precision and set up Elliott\u2019s field goal perfectly.\n <\/p>\n
\n Despite the Philadelphia fans\u2019 best efforts, however, this wasn\u2019t to be enough and the Eagles will now return stateside on the back of a devastating loss.\n <\/p>\n

\n \u201cAt the end of the day I didn\u2019t make the right decision, and it cost us the game,\u201d Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said after the defeat.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cThere\u2019s no other way around it. There\u2019s nothing really else to say about that. It\u2019s just I didn\u2019t do my job good enough in that situation.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
\n Siranni admitted he took full responsibility for the defeat in front of his team after the loss.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cThe guys fought so hard \u2026 and I cost us that game.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
\n The 28-year-old Hurts was also quick to shoulder the blame for the lack of the Eagles\u2019 effectiveness in offense.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cOffensively, there was not enough out there for us to do. We didn\u2019t perform well enough. I didn\u2019t perform well enough.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
\n This game was advertised as a home game for the Jaguars, but the atmosphere was anything but Jacksonville-friendly.\n <\/p>\n
\n From the tube to the pubs, Eagles fans were all you could see. In the stadium it was no different.\n <\/p>\n
\n Waves of green dominated the 61,322 in attendance and if the jerseys weren\u2019t a giveaway, the noise was.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cOur fans showed up. It was great,\u201d Hurts said after the game. \u201cIt was great to feel that energy and to see how they showed up when we didn\u2019t do enough.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
\n From start to finish, Lawrence and the Jags struggled with the deafening atmosphere from the majority-Philly crowd.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cYou could see that they had some issues handling some of that noise in that game,\u201d Sirianni said of the impact the Philadelphia fans had on Jacksonville.\n <\/p>\n

\n And Lawrence clearly agreed.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cI thought it was supposed to be a home game for us over here,\u201d the Jaguars quarterback joked afterward.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cUsually we have more fans, being the Jags and playing over here so much. This was really the only time I could remember where it was so lopsided.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
\n But, ultimately, it\u2019s the Jacksonville few that will have the last laugh as they prepare to stay in London for another week, where the team will face the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium.\n <\/p>\n
\n For Philadelphia, this now represents three consecutive losses amidst a difficult juncture that the team needs to get through.\n <\/p>\n
\n The ever-poised Hurts, however, stayed calm in defeat.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cThere\u2019s so much opportunity to grow, so much for us to be better at and we just continue on our journey, gelling and obviously staying locked arms and staying together as a team,\u201d Hurts added.\n <\/p>\n
\n Eagles will host the Carolina Panthers next week at Lincoln Financial Field.\n <\/p>\n
