The companies announced the investment today, but did not disclose its value.

The financing supports a company tackling an expensive and complicated part of manufacturing: deciding how equipment should be repaired, which replacement parts are appropriate and whether the work qualifies for warranty coverage.

Manufacturers paid more than $30 billion in U.S. warranty claims in 2025, according to Warranty Week, a figure cited by Florida Funders. Processing those claims often requires experienced employees to consult repair histories, technical manuals, parts catalogs and warranty contracts.

Circuitry.ai has developed software that assembles that information and uses AI to make decisions previously handled by technicians and warranty specialists.

When a warranty claim arrives, the system examines the product’s history, the proposed repair and the manufacturer’s warranty terms. It can then approve the claim, reject it or refer it to a person for further review.

The company’s approach addresses a practical problem facing manufacturers as experienced technicians retire. Their knowledge of particular products, recurring failures and repair procedures can be difficult to replace.

By organizing that information into a system the company calls a Service Knowledge Graph, Circuitry.ai aims to preserve expertise and make it available across a manufacturer’s service operations.

The software also works with existing business systems, potentially reducing the cost and disruption of adopting AI.

Circuitry.ai founder and CEO Ashok Kartham has spent more than two decades developing software for precisely these operations.

He founded 4CS, a warranty and service management company acquired by PTC in 2011. His next venture, Mize, merged with Syncron in 2021.

Circuitry.ai represents his third company in the field. The difference is the growing ability of AI systems to evaluate information and execute routine decisions without requiring an employee to review every case.

Rachael Richardson, director of investments at Florida Funders, pointed to Kartham’s experience and the company’s customer retention as reasons for the investment.

One Circuitry.ai customer processes approximately 10,000 warranty claims monthly through the platform and has increased the threshold for automatic approvals five times, Richardson said.

The company also reports that it has lost no customers since launching. Those figures were provided by Florida Funders and have not been independently verified.

The results suggest that manufacturers are becoming comfortable delegating a larger share of warranty decisions to automated systems. Such decisions can reduce administrative costs and accelerate repairs, although incorrectly denied claims and faulty repair recommendations could create additional costs for customers and manufacturers.

The company’s expansion also illustrates a growing specialization within the AI industry. Circuitry.ai is applying the technology to established business processes where customers can measure savings in labor, equipment downtime and warranty expenses.

Kartham said the new investment will help the company expand its sales efforts and reach additional manufacturers.

Florida Funders, headquartered in Tampa, manages approximately $300 million across four funds and has invested in more than 115 portfolio companies, according to its announcement. The firm focuses on early-stage technology businesses, particularly enterprise AI, cybersecurity and financial technology.

For Tampa Bay’s technology sector, the investment brings together an established regional venture capital firm and an entrepreneur who has already built and exited two software companies.

The financing also marks another stage in Circuitry.ai’s development. The company has not disclosed how much capital it has raised in total, or whether the latest investment will produce additional jobs in Tampa Bay.

A Tampa technology company developing artificial intelligence to automate warranty claims and equipment repairs has secured a new…

[13
202,204,203,199,201,200
post-425655","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-st-petersburg","tag-st-pete","tag-st-pete-headlines","tag-st-pete-news","tag-st-petersburg","tag-st-petersburg-headlines","tag-st-petersburg-news
["GET
