(Copyright 2026 by WJXT News4JAX – All rights reserved.)<\/p>\nJACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 A couple was injured Saturday when a car crashed through the front windows of a hair salon at St. Johns Town Center, leaving one pinned between the vehicle and the reception counter.<\/p>\n
Aubrie Simpson-Gotham and her husband, Steven, had just finished getting their haircuts at Zinke Hair Studio when the car barreled inside. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe heard this loud crash, and then turned our heads, and suddenly, a car is just going right toward us,\u201d Aubrie said. \u201cWe had no time to react.\u201d<\/p>\n
The impact knocked Aubrie down and pinned Steven. He said one arm was free, and he yelled for her to move back, worried the driver might keep accelerating.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was afraid she would just continue accelerating and get further damage,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Aubrie recorded video moments after the crash. She said the experience felt unreal.<\/p>\n
\u201cPhysically, we are sore, we are hurting,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019re still just trying to process everything emotionally. It was just so traumatizing for us, not only for us, but our family and friends.\u201d<\/p>\n
Steven said they were thankful to be alive.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re still here to try to continue doing more good in my life,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The couple said they are still waiting for answers about what caused the driver to crash into the salon.<\/p>\n
News4JAX reached out to the salon to learn more. Someone answered but hung up and when we called again, we were sent to voicemail.<\/p>\n
