JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office has released images in connection with Sunday\u2019s officer-involved shooting off Dunn Avenue and Mar Vic Lane in North Jacksonville, which resulted in the death of a 32-year-old woman.<\/p>\n

At a Sunday briefing<\/a>, police said three officers followed her on foot for about a quarter of a mile, shouting at her to put her hands in the air, while another officer drove beside them for cover.<\/p>\n

After approximately 12 minutes on scene, officials said the suspect pulled out a gun and shot their police vehicle, hitting the driver\u2019s side door. <\/p>\n

JSO said three officers shot back at her. She was pronounced dead on scene.<\/p>\n

Now, the sheriff\u2019s office has released an image of the alleged gun used by the suspect as well as a photo of the bullet strike on the police vehicle. <\/p>\n

Police said they had been searching for the suspect after they received three calls in two days<\/a> from people saying she was wandering around the neighborhood, pointing her gun at multiple people, including one dog.<\/p>\n

Action News Jax is still working to learn the identity of the woman.<\/p>\n
