Longtime friends and collaborators Gideon\u2019s Bakehouse<\/a> and Kelly\u2019s Homemade Ice Cream<\/a> are at it again, celebrating National Dessert Day (Oct. 14) with a special that raises the stakes for the iconic bakery\u2019s 10th anniversary.<\/p>\n

The Creature Double Feature ($8) will include side-by-side junior scoops of Bride of Frankenstein, a Kelly\u2019s flavor created in 2020 to honor Gideon\u2019s Frankenstein cookie (cookies + cream ice cream with Double-Stuf Oreo cookies, milk chocolate chips and mini M&Ms), and the all-new Hallowed Trinity, a concoction that melds Kelly\u2019s Signature vanilla ice cream with Gideon\u2019s Bakehouse\u2019s signature chocolate cake, fluffy hot chocolate marshmallow buttercream and chunks of dark chocolate.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe worked with Kelly\u2019s to create a flavor that combines the trinity of life\u2019s best things: cookies, cake and ice cream,\u201d Gideon\u2019s founder Steve Lewis told the Orlando Sentinel. \u201cScoop [Hallowed Trinity] on a cookie and the world opens, offering serenity and delight to your very soul.\u201d<\/p>\n

Theirs is a relationship that has quite a bit of it, in fact.<\/p>\n

Lewis has known Kelly\u2019s founder, Kelly Seidl, for the entire decade Gideon has been operating.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom my first day of business at East End Market, 10 years ago this month, Kelly and her team were there to help me find my footing as I learned what Gideon\u2019s wanted to be,\u201d Lewis says. \u201cFor those who were there in the early days, the baked-to-order hot cookies with Kelly\u2019s ice cream were an original menu offering at Gideon\u2019s, and I\u2019ve been proud to represent them with Hot Cookie Hour at Gideon\u2019s in Disney Springs every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celebrating 10 years of Kelly\u2019s Homemade Ice Cream<\/a><\/p>\n

Traditionally, Hot Cookie Hour pairs cookies with Kelly\u2019s vanilla. But in a couple of weeks, Hallowed Trinity will be topping the cookies at the Disney Springs outpost (gideonsbakehouse.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

That said, Kelly\u2019s is where superfans can get it first. Tomorrow only.<\/p>\n

The Creature Double Feature combo will be available at all Kelly\u2019s scoop shops (multiple locations, kellyshomemadeicecream.com<\/a>) on Oct. 14, from open until the flavors sell out.<\/p>\n
