The world’s largest commercial real estate firm has a new top dog in its Miami and Fort Lauderdale<\/a> offices.<\/p>\n

Greg Kuhlman, CBRE’s new market leader for Miami and Fort Lauderdale<\/p>\n

CBRE<\/a> has hired Greg Kuhlman as senior managing director and the market leader for Miami and Fort Lauderdale, the brokerage announced Monday. Most recently, Kuhlman was a senior vice president at Related Ross<\/a>, the South Florida development firm launched by billionaire Stephen Ross<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kuhlman joined Related Ross after helping launch the Miami office of Related Cos<\/a>., which Ross founded and chaired before splitting off Related Ross as an independent venture.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One of many New York City commercial real estate professionals who migrated to Miami during the pandemic, Kuhlman spent nine years at Cushman & Wakefield largely representing Manhattan office landlords before leaving for Related in 2022, according to his LinkedIn profile and a release.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kuhlman will manage 102 Miami-based employees and 66 Fort Lauderdale-based employees, a CBRE spokesperson said in an email. CBRE has four South Florida offices, and Susan Bands remains in charge of the West Palm Beach<\/a> team, The Real Deal reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth Miami and Fort Lauderdale are incredibly dynamic commercial real estate markets, and I look forward to working across the organization to build on the team\u2019s success, deepen our client relationships, and identify new opportunities for growth,\u201d Kuhlman said in a statement.<\/p>\n

CBRE was in search of a market leader after Gian Rodriguez<\/a> was hired to lead the Miami office of Kurv Industrial<\/a>, formerly Bridge Industrial, the South Florida Business Journal reported<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kuhlman’s new role also isn\u2019t the only major shake-up of leadership in South Florida commercial brokerage announced in the past week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

JLL<\/a> hired the founding partner of Toronto-based Avison Young<\/a>‘s Florida operation, Greg Martin<\/a>, to expand its agency leasing and landlord representation<\/a> team in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
