The two people on board were killed. They have been identified as 53-year-old Alexander Wurm and his 22-year-old daughter, Serena.<\/p>\n<p>The moment of impact was captured on video by a backyard camera that showed the plane crashing into a pond in the Windsor Bay community.<\/p>\n<p>The flight took off from the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport around 10:14 a.m. ET, according to the Associated Press. Unsubscribe at any time.<\/p>\n<p>They advised residents that a strong police presence would remain in the area throughout Tuesday as investigators collected evidence. Mike Moser, the deputy fire chief for the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department, told <a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">WSVN-TV<\/a> that the entire plane had not been found yet.<\/p>\n<p>One resident said he and his wife were in their home when the plane came down, destroying his fence before hitting the water.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe heard the strangest sound. I never heard anything like it before, and apparently that was when this plane must have flown between my home and my neighbor\u2019s house,\u201d Kenneth DeTrolio told the South Florida Sun Sentinel.<\/p>\n<p>The pilot, Alexander Wurm, was the founder of Ignite The Fire Ministry. In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo?fbid=683073264871186&amp;set=a.135552529623265\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook post<\/a> sharing news of his death, the group said Wurm was dedicated to \u201cempowering the youth through missions and evangelism across the Caribbean.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"578075963_683073271537852_5367545231683958580_n.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"180\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"shadow-md rounded-lg object-contain h-auto w-full\" style=\"color:transparent\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/578075963_683073271537852_5367545231683958580_n.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Alexander Wurm and his daughter Serena died Monday when their small plane crashed in Coral Springs, Florida.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m-0 text-gray-500\">(Photo from Ignite The Fire Ministry via Facebook)<\/p>\n<p>Wurm is survived by two other children and his wife.<\/p>\n<p>The same plane made four other trips to and from Jamaica in the past week, according to the Associated Press.
