JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office shared pictures Monday of a bullet hole in an officer\u2019s car they say came from a woman who fired at officers on Sunday.<\/p>\n
JSO also shared a picture of the gun they say she used. JSO said the officers returned fire and killed her.<\/p>\n

They just killed this girl on my street. If anybody got family out here on the Northside off of Dunn and Mar Vic, they just killed this girl,\u201d a woman can be heard saying on the video she recorded.<\/p>\n It was recorded Sunday on the Northside. Action News Jax\u2019s Zion Decoteau spoke to the eyewitness who recorded that video.<\/p>\n Orange marks the spot on the corner of Biscayne and Mar Vic where JSO shot and killed the woman who they say first shot at them.<\/p>\n RELATED: JSO releases images of suspect\u2019s gun and damaged cruiser after fatal officer-involved shooting<\/a><\/p>\n We spoke to the woman, who did not want to be identified. She said that she did not see the woman holding a gun, and she questions whether JSO could have de-escalated the situation without it leading to her death.<\/p>\n \u201cA bunch of just like a bunch of automatic weapons and you could see like the dust and stuff coming from her,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cYou saw her getting shot?\u201d Decoteau asked.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s what I\u2019m saying!\u201d she said.<\/p>\n That neighbor also provided audio from her doorbell camera which captured the sound of shots being fired and witnesses screaming.<\/p>\n RELATED: Jacksonville police fatally shoot woman after she fires at officers, sheriff\u2019s office says<\/a><\/p>\n The shooting happened within 12 minutes of officers arriving on scene.<\/p>\n Moments later, the woman\u2019s body was lying on the corner pavement, in her pajamas.<\/p>\n Police say the woman was waving a gun.<\/p>\n JSO said three officers followed behind her for a quarter of a mile down a local road.<\/p>\n They shouted at the suspect to show her hands while another officer drove beside them for cover.<\/p>\n [DOWNLOAD: Free Action News Jax app for alerts as news breaks<\/a>]<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t see her with the gun at that point. She was just backing up down the street with her hand in her purse and he had the shotgun out and then she started, like, going backwards,\u201d the witness said. \u201cTelling them \u2018back up, leave me alone.\u2019 Then he was just like \u2018if she shoots somebody light her a** up.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n But police say the suspect then pulled out a gun and shot at their police car, hitting the driver\u2019s side door.<\/p>\n JSO fired back and she was pronounced dead on scene.<\/p>\n [SIGN UP: Action News Jax Daily Headlines Newsletter<\/a>] <\/p>\n \u201cWhether she had the gun in her hand or not, I\u2019m not sure I couldn\u2019t see that as far as what she had in her hand. But I just seen her, put her hands up,\u201d the witness said.<\/p>\n JSO said that this was the third call they\u2019ve received about this woman in two days after they say she was walking around the neighborhood waving a gun.<\/p>\n JSO has not released the name of the woman shot.
