Pelle Larsson said he dealt with constant headaches for roughly a week after falling ill following Miami’s trip to Quebec, with his status for Wednesday’s preseason game against Brooklyn still uncertain.<\/p>\n

Larsson missed multiple practices ahead of Miami’s preseason matchup vs. Minnesota on Saturday and exited the game early after playing 25 minutes and scoring 14 points.<\/p>\n

Speaking with reporters on Monday, Larsson said he was still unsure exactly what caused the illness.<\/p>\n

“Not sure, really. I’ve just been having headaches, so I caught something when we were in Quebec or on the way back or something,” Larsson said, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic<\/a>. “Since then, I didn’t feel right and took some days off, came back, and just came back a little too quickly.<\/p>\n

“Didn’t respect it, maybe. Tried to tough it out, and now just taking it slower.”<\/p>\n

When asked whether he expects to play against Brooklyn on Wednesday, Larsson remained noncommittal.<\/p>\n

“I’ve had headaches,” Larsson said. “I had it pretty much constantly for a week. Today [Tuesday] was the first day I didn’t wake up with a headache, so it’s been 24\/7.”<\/p>\n

Larsson is coming off a strong second NBA season in which he appeared in 70 games, including 54 starts, and averaged 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.<\/p>\n

The Heat, meanwhile, open the 2026-27 regular season on Wednesday, October 21, at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It will also mark Giannis Antetokounmpo’s first regular-season game for Miami.<\/p>\n
