“Six” reimagines the stories of Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr through a contemporary pop concert format. Rather than presenting a traditional historical drama, the musical gives each queen an opportunity to share her perspective through songs inspired by modern popular music.

Created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the production combines energetic choreography, sharp humor and a score that draws from pop, R&B and electronic music. Its distinctive format transforms familiar Tudor history into a celebration of individuality and female empowerment.

The musical gained attention following its early performances in the United Kingdom and later achieved success in London’s West End and on Broadway. Its songs, including “Ex-Wives,” “Don’t Lose Ur Head” and “Six,” have attracted audiences beyond traditional musical theater circles.

Au-Rene Theater at Broward Center for the Performing Arts is a major destination for touring Broadway productions in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The venue regularly welcomes theatergoers from Broward County and throughout South Florida.

The eight-performance schedule offers flexibility for audiences planning a theater outing. Saturday and Sunday each include afternoon and evening performances, providing options for families, groups and visitors who prefer daytime shows.
