Here are five storylines to watch for Wednesday’s matchup at Toronto FC:

Chasing History on Two Fronts

Martín Ojeda enters Wednesday’s match with multiple club records within reach. The Argentine playmaker recorded his 45th career assist across all competitions in Orlando City’s win over the Columbus Crew, leaving him just two assists shy of tying former captain Mauricio Pereyra for the most assists in club history. Ojeda is also tied with former Lion Facundo Torres atop Orlando City’s all-time scoring chart across all competitions with 47 goals. With one more goal, he would become the club’s outright all-time leading scorer, adding another milestone to an already historic career.

Griezmann’s Immediate Impact

Few players have made a bigger impact in a shorter span than Antoine Griezmann. The French forward scored and assisted against Columbus, bringing his total to 14 goal contributions in just 12 MLS appearances for the Lions. Griezmann has now recorded a goal contribution in eight consecutive league matches and continues to be one of the most productive attacking players in MLS. As Orlando City looks to continue its push up the Eastern Conference standings, the club will once again lean on Griezmann’s creativity and finishing ability in Toronto.

Angulo Closing in on Another Club Record

Iván Angulo continues to enjoy the best scoring stretch of his Orlando City career. His game-winning goal against the Crew marked his fifth consecutive MLS match with a goal, tying Griezmann for the longest scoring streak in club history within a single season. Angulo has been one of the league’s most consistent attacking threats in recent weeks, combining his scoring touch with his team-leading playmaking ability. With another goal on Wednesday night, the Colombian winger would set a new club record and further cement his place among Orlando City’s most influential attacking players.

Sarajian Strikes

Harvey Sarajian continues to take advantage of every opportunity at the First Team level. The rookie forward scored in the opening minute of his first MLS start against Columbus, recording his second goal for Orlando City and finding the net in consecutive home matches. Sarajian has steadily earned more responsibility throughout the season and has provided an important spark whenever called upon. With the postseason approaching, the young forward’s emergence has given Orlando City another attacking option as the club continues to rely on contributions from throughout its roster.

The Rematch North of the Border

Orlando City will head to Toronto looking to replicate the success it enjoyed in the clubs’ previous meeting this season. The Lions earned a commanding 3-0 victory over Toronto FC at Inter.co Stadium, controlling the match on both sides of the ball and keeping a clean sheet. Orlando City’s attack proved decisive in that contest, while the defense limited Toronto’s opportunities throughout the night. As the teams meet again on Wednesday, the Lions will aim to produce another complete performance and secure a season sweep of the Canadian side.
