Komen Breast Cancer Foundation;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/www.komen.org\/breast-cancer\/facts-statistics\/breast-cancer-statistics\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Breast Cancer Awareness Month aims to promote screening and reduce the risk of the disease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tampa&#8217;s old City Hall will light up pink during October, but the Tampa Bay area has more plans to spread awareness.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Moffitt Cancer Center will host its breast cancer patient tea party on Oct. 22, and its annual exhibition, Portraits of Hope, to celebrate different patients&#8217; experiences with breast cancer on Oct. 29.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tampa General Hospital is <a data-ylk=\"slk:accepting donations;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/givetotgh.org\/project\/49764\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">accepting donations<\/a> to create support care packages for its cancer institute patients.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The hospital is also offering <a data-ylk=\"slk:$75 screening 3D mammograms;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TGHimaging\/posts\/pfbid0qSBzrToaDgqufDDqxjBzMR7W77RGx5n6RNNt2GdjtkXeX68jy5ymdPTCywPHTxEWl?rdid=o4eN8lQGpaCrNCPV#\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">$75 screening 3D mammograms<\/a> at all locations during October and November.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Here&#8217;s what&#8217;s happening in the community.<\/p>\n<p>Breast Cancer Awareness Month events in Tampa Bay for your calendar<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Ace Pickleball Club in Lutz will host a tournament on Oct. 17 and raise money to support the Cakes to Cure and breast cancer programs at St. Joseph&#8217;s Hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">UTampa women&#8217;s soccer will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Oct. 21 against Florida Southern College at Pepin Stadium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Making Strides of Tampa Bay walk to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society will take place on Oct. 24 at Raymond James Stadium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">There will also be a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in St. Petersburg&#8217;s Lake Vista Park on Oct. 24, where participants will complete 2.24 mileswhile showing support for those affected by breast cancer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The MOMbies of FishHawk will return to Park Square Plaza in Lithia on Oct. 25 for a blend of Halloween fun and raising funds to benefit breast cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Is there another Breast Cancer Awareness Month event happening in the area?
