(WINK) \u2014 The Fort Myers Police Department said they arrested a man on armed robbery charges after two victims flagged down officers to report being robbed at gunpoint.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened at around 12:15 a.m. on Oct. 3 near the intersection of Main Street and Jackson Street.<\/p>\n<p>With assistance from FMPD&#8217;s Real Time Crime Center, investigators identified a suspect and a possible getaway vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with State Probation, FMPD&#8217;s Investigative Services Bureau divisions located and arrested Sammie Sanders III, 31, for two counts of armed robbery with a firearm. Sanders was also charged with violation of probation.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders served nine years in the Florida Department of Corrections for other armed robberies and was currently serving the last five years of probation until 2030 for the same charges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FORT MYERS, Fla.
