Then, they were telling you to detour around.”

Jacksonville’s parks and recreation director shared the plumbing issue happened due to aging infrastructure that is now being repaired.

He added there is still water for park users.

However, Boll has been rationing what’s in his RV’s tank.

“It’ll take us probably an hour to fill our 60 gallon tank with the rate of flow we have out of the faucet,” Boll said.

The issue is shutting down the main route through the camping area, sending RVs up the side routes.

“Some of them are extremely tight turns, which put us at risk of damaging our camper by hitting a tree or something along the way, plus we’re going into areas where kids are playing that we shouldn’t have to go,” Boll said.

Boll isn’t letting the water pressure issue pressure him into leaving early – the adventuring couple will stay the full week they planned while on their quest to see 49 states.

“This would be considered an emergency repair if it was in a neighborhood for JEA, then why is it not an emergency here,” Boll said.

The city of Jacksonville said it looks like the issue will be fixed by the end of the day Thursday.

Full statement from Director, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Daryl Joseph:

We are aware of the issue and have been working on the repairs with internal and external teams since Saturday. We are working to have this issue addressed as quickly as possible.

There is a plumbing issue that started this weekend. This is an aging infrastructure issue that we are repairing. There is still running water in the park for park users.

It looks like it will now be fixed by COB (close of business) tomorrow (Thursday).

The City of Jacksonville is working to repair the water bubbling up and blocking the main entrance to…

[8
116,118,117
post-428321","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-jacksonville","tag-jacksonville","tag-jacksonville-headlines","tag-jacksonville-news
["GET
