FOX 35 Storm Team meteorologist Brooks Garner takes a look at the forecast.<\/p>\n<p data-v-35ac954e=\"\">ORLANDO, Fla. &#8211; \u00a0A few isolated passing showers are possible today with a 20% chance of rain.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"WOFL\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-35ac954e=\"\">Timeline:<\/p>\n<p data-v-35ac954e=\"\">With an onshore wind from the Atlantic, areas near the coast will have the best chances of rain.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-35ac954e=\"\">These showers will be overall brief, light, and very few and far between. Showers will begin around midday, and will carry us into the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p data-v-35ac954e=\"\">The vast majority of Central Florida will be dry under a mix of sunshine and clouds.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/wx-gfx-101526-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-7f188271=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"WOFL\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-35ac954e=\"\">How hot will it get?:<\/p>\n<p data-v-35ac954e=\"\">Temperatures will be above normal, as highs will near 90 degrees this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/wx-gfx-101526-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-7f188271=\"\"\/>  Windy and wet weekend on the way <\/p>\n<p data-v-35ac954e=\"\">A cold front moves in Friday and brings big changes along with it. A 60% chance of scattered showers and a few storms is on the way for tomorrow and Saturday.<\/p>\n<p data-v-35ac954e=\"\">Winds will turn quite gusty, even outside of rain and storm activity, with speeds of 30-40 mph inland and up to 40-45 mph at the beaches.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/wx-gfx-101526-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-7f188271=\"\"\/>  Dangerous surf <\/p>\n<p data-v-35ac954e=\"\">Gusty winds will aid in rough conditions at the beaches tomorrow and into the weekend.<\/p>\n<p data-v-35ac954e=\"\">Large breaking waves and a high risk of dangerous and life-threatening strong rip currents can be expected at the beaches.<\/p>\n<p data-v-35ac954e=\"\">This could lead to minor beach and dune erosion as well.
