Recipients were pre-selected from families who regularly use the organization\u2019s food pantry; the kits are not available as a walk-up giveaway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Each kit includes practical items such as doorjamb seals to help block air leaks, a refrigerator thermometer, wool dryer balls, an LED nightlight, an HVAC filter whistle and a smart power switch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">\u201cWe\u2019ve never done the energy kits before,\u201d said Salvation Army Lt. Kaylynn Green. \u201cI had no idea of any of these things. So I\u2019m super excited to be able to take these to the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">FPL representatives are also sharing energy-saving tips and information about programs that may help customers manage their bills. FPL\u2019s Saving Steps program offers eligible customers a one-time $200 bill credit as they learn ways to reduce energy use. Customers can check program eligibility and details with FPL.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The Salvation Army\u2019s food distribution is open to all ages.
