Amar\u2019e Stoudemire,<\/a> the six-time NBA All-Star and 2026 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, has graduated from the Miami Dade College School of Justice\u2019s Basic Law Enforcement Academy.<\/p>\n

The former NBA standout is preparing to begin a new chapter with the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department, fulfilling a childhood ambition rooted in his family\u2019s law enforcement background. Stoudemire, 43, completed the academy\u2019s training this week and received the Harry \u201cCoach\u201d Everett Award for his contributions to the program, according to Miami Dade College.<\/p>\n

According to Yahoo Sports,<\/a> Stoudemire built a 14-season NBA career, earning Rookie of the Year honors in 2003 and six All-Star selections. He became widely known for his years with the Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks, and later played for the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat. He averaged 18.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game during his NBA career. His first season with the Knicks, in 2010\u201311, helped bring the team back to the playoffs after a seven-year absence.<\/p>\n
