GAINESVILLE, Fla. \u2013 Florida Diving concluded their home opener against Miami on Friday afternoon. The Gators delivered a strong performance on the springboards, finishing in the top-two in both men’s events. The women’s springboard exhibition finished strong with high individual scores in early season action.

\nConor Gesing<\/a> and Miguel Tovar<\/a> represented the Gators men’s diving on the springboards, with Gesing delivering his best 1-meter performance of his senior season thus far. He earned a score of 364.13 to ensure a second-place finish, while scoring 366.60 to earn third on the 1-meter. Tovar finished on top in the 3-meter event and recorded personal bests on both springboard outings, he earned 343.58 and 390.30 in the 1 and 3-meter events, respectively.

\nOn the women’ side, all four Gators participated in the women’s springboard exhibition, highlighted by senior Camyla Monroy<\/a>. She posted a score of 361.80 on the 3-meter, coming close to her personal best of 370.95 in the event. Freshman Juliana Giron Trochez<\/a> also impressed, recording a personal-best of 273.00 on the 3-meter and 253.35 on the 1-meter. Alexa Fung<\/a> had a successful outing on the springboards, nearly resetting her personal-best on the 1-meter (286.50) and finishing strong on the 3-meter (260.85). Ava Brinkman<\/a> rounded out the women’s exhibition performance scoring 244.88 on the 1-meter and 252.00 on the 3-meter.
