Defensive end Travon Walker leads the Jaguars with two sacks through five games, with defensive end Josh Hines-Allen next with 1.5 sacks. Hines-Allen has seven quarterback hits and Walker has six.

“When you talk about affecting the quarterback, it comes in different ways,” Coen said. “Those guys have done a nice job of being able to create when we’ve needed it. Is it leading in sacks every single time we get a four-man rush? I can’t say that, but I can say that they’re affecting the quarterback a ton.

“We’re going to need it this week. We can’t let [Texans quarterback] C.J. [Stroud] stand back there and hang out and be able to pick us apart and get those guys on the perimeter of the ball too quickly.

“It’s a great challenge for us this week, and those guys know what they’re up for.” …

“Anytime you’re self-inflicted, it’s challenging on us as coaches trying to make sure we provide clarity throughout the week on the game plan,” Coen said. “You don’t want to trim too much because we started the season off pretty good. So, it is what it is.

“We have to get our hands inside more and we have to be better about it, but ultimately you can call the hold on every play.” …

[8
881,168069,116,118,117,883
post-430476","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-jacksonville","tag-front-page-headline","tag-houston-texans-at-jacksonville-jaguars-2026-reg-6","tag-jacksonville","tag-jacksonville-headlines","tag-jacksonville-news","tag-news-jaguars-news
["GET
