Some words may be mispronounced.\n        <\/p>\n<p>LONDON (AP) \u2014 Jacksonville\u2019s run of playing an annual home game at Wembley Stadium could be nearing its end.<\/p>\n<p>Jaguars president Mark Lamping said Saturday the team hopes to keep all of its 2028 home games in Jacksonville to coincide with the re-opening of its stadium following a <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/jacksonville-jaguars-stadium-renovation-9b814a4d0c7527414fe98a3124ee5bc9\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$1.4 billion renovation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Jags were early adopters of the NFL&#8217;s international push and began staging an annual game at Wembley in 2013, but the economic incentive to do so has been decreasing.<\/p>\n<p>Jacksonville will play its 16th London game on Sunday when <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/texans-jaguars-preview-london-73584015d6fe6a12fd27d39bfeaed3e0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the team faces the Houston Texans<\/a> at Wembley.<\/p>\n<p>Lamping told Jacksonville reporters in London that the plan for the 2028 season is a full slate at its \u201cstadium of the future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf there\u2019s a natural year where you probably want to play every home game in Jacksonville, it would be the year you open a new stadium,\u201d Lamping said.<\/p>\n<p>Construction has already begun with EverBank Stadium at reduced capacity this season.<\/p>\n<p>The Jags will move most of their <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/jaguars-orlando-2027-db5ebcdf2b4c19262ae07fd211746488\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">home games to Orlando<\/a> next season.<\/p>\n<p>The team has the option of playing three home games in London next season, but Lamping said the likelihood of that is \u201cremote.&#8221; He said that option was designed more for if the team had chosen to play in Gainesville next year.<\/p>\n<p>Jacksonville&#8217;s games at Wembley are separate from the NFL-mandated international games. In that category, the Jaguars are set to play one game abroad next season.
