A Lee County man is accused of violating his probation following an arrest on drug possession charges.<\/p>\n
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Vernon Brockway, 45, was pulled over by officers in April 2026. Brockway immediately begged officers not to take him to jail.<\/p>\n
Officers conducted a search of Brockway’s vehicle and located crack cocaine in the center console and marijuana in the driver’s-side door, Crime Stoppers said. It was also discovered that Brockway was driving with a license that had been suspended for five years.<\/p>\n
Brockway was arrested and spent two weeks in jail before being found guilty and placed on probation. Crime Stoppers said he recently violated his probation by skipping court-mandated meetings with his probation officer and failing to attend traffic school.<\/p>\n
Brockway has 19 prior arrests in Lee and Charlotte counties on 44 total charges, including grand theft, drugs, battery, fraud and impersonating a contractor during a state of emergency. He is 5’8″, weighs 140 pounds, and was last known to be living in North Fort Myers.<\/p>\n
