Weems issued the order, allowing players listed as C.L. and B.C. because they\u2019re minors, to return as soon as tonight\u2019s game at Moody.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"wpadcenter_ad\" data-value=\"38455\" data-placement=\"1792186045863\" href=\"https:\/\/calhounjournal.com\/advertise-with-the-calhoun-journal\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"wpadcenter-ad-inner__item p.italic {&#013;&#010;  font-style: italic;&#013;&#010;}\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2142\" height=\"734\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Calhoun-Journal-Advertising-Banner-1.png\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"Calhoun Journal Advertising Banner\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She denied the TRO rquest for Jacksonville High coach Jeremy Sullivan and volunteer assistant coach Phileepae Holloway to return. The AHSAA issued a year\u2019s suspension for both coaches.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AL.com was first to report news of the TRO.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Citing rules covering improper contact, the AHSAA ruled the two players ineligible on Sept. 24. The AHSAA also issued the suspension of the two coaches and put Jacksonville\u2019s football program on restrictive probation, meaning the Golden eagles are ineligible for this year\u2019s playoffs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The AHSAA denied Jacksonville\u2019s appeals at the District 6 and Central Board levels.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The players\u2019 parents and the two coaches were among plaintiffs in a civil complaint, initially dismissed after a judge ruled it was filed in the wrong court but refiled.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-103908\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Jacksonville-twist-2.jpg\" alt=\"Jacksonville twist-2\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\"  \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Temporary restraining order allows two Jacksonville players to return to action as soon as tonight, at Moody.
