(WCTV) &#8211; Protesters lined both sides of Monroe Street outside the Historic Capitol in downtown Tallahassee Saturday for a No Kings rally, joining demonstrations planned across the country ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/politics\/election-2026\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/politics\/election-2026\/\">Nov. 3 election<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Rallygoers held signs and chanted as they voiced opposition to policies from the Trump administration. Some also encouraged people to vote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Protester Charlotte Garnier said she showed up Saturday morning to voice her concerns on a range of topics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cTrump\u2019s policy towards immigration, the cruelty of deporting people who have lived here most of their lives, his views towards our SNAP benefits and Social Security, the knowledge that things will continue to get worse unless voices like this are heard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Protester Noreen Beattie said she has concerns about the election process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI fear for our election process; I want it to be fair. Being here tells me I don\u2019t stand alone,\u201d Beattie said. \u201cThere is a community that is willing to fight for corruption.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Other rallies were planned in Bainbridge, Thomasville, Valdosta and Live Oak.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Florida GOP Chair Evan Power shared a statement with WCTV on the protest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-2\">Once again democrats are protesting something we don\u2019t have in America -Kings. But these are being funded by more threatening entities, those supported by the communist Chinese. Republicans in Florida have turned our state into a beacon of freedom and we will continue to deliver for Floridians.
