ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 17, 2026) \u2014 Orlando City SC (12-13-5, 41 points) defeated D.C. United (7-10-12, 33 points) with a dominant 4-1 display\u00a0on Saturday night at Inter.co Stadium. The win keeps the Lions in an automatic playoff qualification spots with four regular-season games remaining. <\/p>\n

Antoine Griezmann continued his stellar form, opening the scoring in the 15th minute after linking up with Daryl Dike and Mart\u00edn Ojeda. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner chipped the ball to Dike at the top of the box, received an immediate return ball and then combined with Ojeda in a quick give-and-go before calmly finishing to extend his streak of MLS matches with at least one goal contribution to 10. <\/p>\n

Ojeda and Griezmann reversed roles on Orlando City\u2019s second goal as Griezmann lofted a pass over the back line to the Argentine midfielder. Ojeda, who on Wednesday became Orlando City\u2019s all-time leading goalscorer across all competitions,\u00a0capped off the play with an acrobatic scorpion-kick finish that nestled just inside the far post to double the Lions\u2019 lead in the 22nd minute. <\/p>\n

D.C. United cut the deficit to 2-1 just before halftime after an Orlando defender brought down a player in the penalty area during a corner kick. Tai Baribo converted the penalty, placing his shot to Maxime Cr\u00e9peau\u2019s right and beyond the diving goalkeeper\u2019s reach. <\/p>\n

Griezmann scored again in the 50th minute, intercepting a pass from a D.C. United defender and finishing to restore the Lions\u2019 two-goal lead. Designated Player Marco Pa\u0161ali\u0107 added the final goal in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time, running onto a through ball from Justin Ellis and beating goalkeeper Sean Johnson one-on-one to seal the victory. <\/p>\n

Up next, the Lions will host New York City FC on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Inter.co Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Apple TV.<\/p>\n
