TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A large crowd braved the morning chill to line Monroe Street in Tallahassee for the annual Veterans Day Parade.<\/p>\n
The event featured local marching bands, organizations and law enforcement all honoring our nation\u2019s heroes. <\/p>\n
The parade also boasted veterans, ROTC units and all kinds of floats.<\/p>\n
One float featured all-female veterans. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe do get left behind a lot of times, you know, when you think of veterans, you think of male,\u201d Paula Hubert said. \u201cUs females, we\u2019ve been there, done the same thing. We served, and we were proud to serve. It was an honor. I\u2019d do it again if I could.\u201d <\/p>\n

One parade attendee said he wouldn\u2019t miss the opportunity to thank our veterans. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe veterans, it just means a lot to me, people that have been gone and still here that fighting for us to have a good, good country, good world and all that kind of good stuff, and I just thank God for it,\u201d Gus Dasher said.<\/p>\n
Dahser\u2019s father spent 40 years in the U.S. Navy.<\/p>\n

Just before the parade, a memorial at the Capitol saw the playing of Taps at 11:11 – the moment that marked the end of World War I 107 years ago.<\/p>\n
Members of our WCTV team were proud to join in Tuesday\u2019s parade to honor those who served.<\/p>\n
