Plans call for 103 apartments: 45 one-bedroom units, 53 two-bedroom units, and five three-story units. Amenities would include 159 parking spots (averaging to about 1.54 per unit) and a fitness center. Unlike many apartments in the area, there would not be a swimming pool.<\/p>\n<p>As noted, Abreu Development LLC is the developer. The firm has the 35,900-square-foot build site under contract from its current owner, Loto 2. Doral-based Cabrera Ramos Architects is the architect. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/southflorida\/news\/2026\/10\/16\/developer-proposes-103-apartments-near-airport.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The South Florida Business Journal<\/a> describes the project\u2019s conceptual renderings as \u201creferenc[ing] the Moorish Revival theme that Opa-Locka is known for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-42564\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Screenshot-2026-10-18-at-1.26.05-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1062\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The project would occupy an undeveloped piece of land. Earlier this June, Florida YIMBY reported on <a href=\"https:\/\/floridayimby.com\/2026\/06\/mixed-use-sunstone-proposed-west-of-southwest-137th-avenue-homestead-fl.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sunstone<\/a>, a mixed-use venture unfolding in Homestead.
