CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK) \u2014 A Cape Coral man turned to WINK Listens after his grocery delivery arrived with nearly two dozen items missing.<\/p>\n

Tim Crout and his wife rely on grocery delivery services because she has limited mobility. Most of the time, the service works without any issues, but their Aug. 23 order was different.<\/p>\n

“She did an order through Walmart Plus. It was a total of 80 items that she had ordered,” Crout said. “When the order arrived, you could tell right away that there was a lot of things missing from the order.”<\/p>\n

Twenty-three items totaling $180.05 were missing from the order left at the front door of their Cape Coral home. Crout immediately reached out to Walmart for help.<\/p>\n

“Walmart basically saying that our refund wasn’t going to be processed because it was in violation of their terms, which was very confusing,” Crout said. “He basically told me there was nothing he could do.”<\/p>\n

That’s when Crout decided it was time for WINK Listens<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I’m just hoping, you know, WINK could use some of their power and, you know, to help me get this resolved,” Crout said.<\/p>\n

WINK News reached out to Walmart’s media department, and they assured us they would review the claim.<\/p>\n

“You know, one item, $2. My wife might say, ‘Well, I’m not worried about that, you know.’ But when you’re talking 23 items at $180, that’s a lot of money,” Crout said.<\/p>\n

Walmart reviewed the delivery and decided to reimburse the Crout’s for what was missing. The company called WINK News to make sure the couple was satisfied with the resolution.<\/p>\n
