JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 Nahne Paulsen<\/a> has been named the ASUN Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Dolphins finish unbeaten against South Florida and Bellarmine.<\/p>\n

The recognition marks Paulsen’s first career ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honor and Jacksonville’s first since Logan Hall<\/a> earned the award on Oct. 6, 2025.<\/p>\n

Paulsen contributed on both ends of the field in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Bellarmine at Southern Oak Stadium. The graduate student assisted Jake Waters’<\/a> game-winning goal in the 18th minute and played all 90 minutes on a back line that limited the Knights to seven shots and just one on target.

Jacksonville held off Bellarmine’s second-half pressure, including six corner kicks, to preserve the shutout and secure its first ASUN victory of the season.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the week, Paulsen logged 65 minutes in Jacksonville’s 2-2 road draw at South Florida. The result completed an unbeaten showing against American Conference opponents this season, following the Dolphins’ 1-0 road victory at Memphis on Sept. 29.<\/p>\n

Paulsen finished the week with 155 minutes and an assist as Jacksonville improved to 5-5-3 overall and 1-3-2 in ASUN play.<\/p>\n
