[\u00a0Kolter Urban\u00a0]<\/p>\n<p>The proposed development will rise 44 stories.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The new owner of the Hilton Bayfront in downtown St. Petersburg wants to demolish the 56-year-old hotel and build two identical 44-story condominium towers in its place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Delray Beach-based developer Kolter Urban filed applications with the city outlining plans for a 325-unit condo overlooking Tampa Bay. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The project will include 18,000 square feet of commercial space and a 519-space parking garage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">It is estimated to cost around $300 million, according to plans filed with the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Kolter\u2019s regional president for Florida\u2019s West Coast, Brian Van Slyke, told the Tampa Bay Times this would be an \u201cultra luxury\u201d branded condo bearing the name of a hospitality group, though he did not say which. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">He did not give a price range but said this project would be on par with the forthcoming Waldorf Astoria Residences planned for downtown St. Pete. The penthouse at that project sold for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/news\/real-estate\/2025\/07\/22\/waldorf-astoria-penthouse-sells-record-breaking-27-million\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/news\/real-estate\/2025\/07\/22\/waldorf-astoria-penthouse-sells-record-breaking-27-million\/\">record- breaking $27 million.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"The Hilton Bayfront St. Petersburg was recently purchased by Delray Beach developer Kolter Urban.
