JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 Early voting starts Tuesday in Duval County<\/a>, giving voters a chance to cast their ballots at any of the county\u2019s 24 early voting sites. The early voting period runs through Nov. 1.<\/p>\n

At the top of the ticket, Florida voters will choose a successor to term-limited Gov. Ron DeSantis. Republican Byron Donalds is facing Democrat David Jolly in the governor\u2019s race.<\/p>\n

In the U.S. Senate special election, incumbent Republican Sen. Ashley Moody, who was appointed to the seat, is facing Jacksonville state Rep. Angie Nixon, a Democrat. The winner will serve the final two years of Marco Rubio\u2019s term after he left the Senate to become U.S. Secretary of State.<\/p>\n

Voters should bring a photo ID with their signature to vote of any of the 24 locations (see below) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Next week, the locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with weekend hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

For voters who prefer to vote by mail, requests must reach the elections office by 5 p.m. Thursday. Completed mail ballots can be dropped off at any early voting site.<\/p>\n
