A man was arrested after allegedly trying to kidnap a 13-year-old at a gas station in Miramar on Monday, according to police. <\/p>\n
Miramar police said they arrested Michael Polanco, 32, after he tried to kidnap the teen at the Shell gas station at 2840 South State Road 7 at around 5:34 p.m.<\/p>\n
He fled westbound, but officers found him nearby after receiving reports of another disturbance, police said. <\/p>\n
According to authorities, the victim and a witness positively identified him, and Polanco was taken into custody. <\/p>\n
He was taken to the Broward County Main Jail and faces charges of battery causing bodily harm and kidnapping\/inflicting bodily harm upon or terrorizing the victim. <\/p>\n
More details about the crime were not provided, including whether the child suffered injuries or how they got away. <\/p>\n
