Attendees included St. Lucie County officials, builder leadership and project partners. Guests and builder partners gathered for a commemorative photo before a closing reception with refreshments, music and community renderings on display.

“The number one underpinning of this community is preservation. We wanted to preserve as much nature as we could, and then we formed the community around it,” said Josh Long, vice president of planning and entitlement at Brookfield Kolter Land Partners. “Solaeris isn’t just a collection of neighborhoods under one name. It’s a thoughtfully planned community that balances nature, convenience, recreation and choice, creating a place where life can unfold naturally for generations to come.”

Designed as a multi-generational community, Solaeris brings together preserved natural landscapes, modern farmhouse architecture and a range of neighborhoods, amenities and home designs from national and regional homebuilders. The 11 neighborhoods range from active adult 55+ to all ages, and each will feature its own amenity center with a mix of fitness centers, resort-style pools, clubhouses and more. The first model homes are slated to open in spring 2027.

The community is also approved for up to 650,000 square feet of commercial development, including shopping, dining and commercial destinations planned for locations designed for ease of access when entering and leaving the community.

Eight builders have been identified within the community, including D.R. Horton, Esplanade by Taylor Morrison, K. Hovnanian Homes, Meritage Homes, Perry Homes, Pulte Homes, Reverie by Dream Finders Homes, Ryan Homes and Taylor Morrison. Builder partners were on site during the debut with representatives available to discuss their neighborhood plans.

“What’s especially significant about this project is that this is the first project the county has approved in almost 30 years,” said Cathy Townsend, St. Lucie County commissioner for District 5. “First off, it’s going to bring the jobs and the small businesses. And once people are moving in, it’s going to be a community for any lifestyle — somebody in their 20s starting out, or somebody like myself looking toward retirement. They’re opening the doors for what the future can be.”

The Solaeris project carries agreements to expand, improve and extend roadways surrounding the community, including extending and expanding Crosstown Parkway, improving Range Line Road and the intersection at Glades Cut Off Road, and extending Range Line Road.

“St. Lucie County makes sense. The Treasure Coast makes sense,” said Jeremy Goulart, vice president of operations at Taylor Morrison. “When you see what has happened in the housing market in Palm Beach County and areas south, affordability has become a major issue. We offer an opportunity for those looking for either an Esplanade lifestyle or their first home in Azure to have an attainable path to homeownership, while still being close to everything they enjoy.”

Solaeris is located north of Glades Cut Off Road and west of the future Range Line Road extension, with convenient access to Interstate 95 and Florida’s Turnpike connecting residents to West Palm Beach, Vero Beach and the wider region.

Construction will continue through 2027, with additional neighborhood announcements expected in the coming months.
