His 21-day window was opened, giving the player the chance to work himself back into shape during practice before being activated for his first game since injuring his knee in the season opener against the Las Vegas Raiders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Louis was selected with the 138th pick in the 4th round of the 2026 NFL Draft after a decorated college career at Pittsburgh where he was a two-year starter. He has experience playing both as a linebacker and as a safety.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Speaking with the South Florida media today, Miami\u2019s head coach, Jeff Hafley, tempered immediate expectations by noting Louis needs time to get back into football shape following his MCL injury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup _1bij9g79 _1bij9g78 _1mt21p01\">\u201c[Louis] hasn\u2019t played real football in quite awhile. It\u2019s his first practice back [today]. As excited as I am to have him back, I think I got to kind of temper that and see how he practices today and then how does he feel after he practices \u2014 and getting through Thursday and Friday. Then we\u2019ll see where he\u2019s at physically and mentally and if he\u2019s ready to play in the game. I\u2019m glad to have him back out there.
