Registration for the Southwest Florida Ag Expo\u2019s popular Creative Living Competition opened Oct. 1. <\/p>\n
The free competition celebrates the creativity and skills of Southwest Florida residents, offering an opportunity to showcase handmade projects, artistic works and homegrown talent.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The Creative Living Competition is open to both adults and youth, regardless of 4-H or FFA affiliation. Exhibitors may enter in one or more of the established eight divisions:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Fabric & Threads \u2013 Quilts, embroidery, and textiles.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Handcraft \u2013 Woodworking, jewelry, and other handmade creations.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Cottage Food \u2013 Homemade foods that comply with Florida\u2019s Cottage Food Law.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Fine Art \u2013 Original paintings, drawings, and mixed media.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Photography \u2013 Capturing nature, people, and special moments.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Tablescape \u2013 Decorative table settings for any occasion.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Home Gardening & Horticulture \u2013 Floral arrangements, plants and garden designs.<\/p>\n
\u2022 S.T.E.A.M. \u2013 Projects highlighting science, technology, engineering, art and math.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Eligibility: Open to residents of Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Requirements: All entries must be original work and may not have been previously exhibited at the SWFL Ag Expo. The rulebook is available at\u00a0swflagexpo.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u2022 Registration: Visit\u00a0Showman.app<\/a>\u00a0to register by 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 18.<\/p>\n \u2022 Admission: Each exhibitor will receive one general admission ticket to the Expo.<\/p>\n \u00a0All Creative Living exhibits will be on display during the Southwest Florida Ag Expo, themed \u201cMake a Splash at the SWFL Ag Expo.\u201d The event is scheduled for Feb. 25-March 7, at Mike Greenwell Regional Park (formerly the Lee County Civic Center Complex), 11831 Bayshore Road.
