That\u2019s about 11.7 percent of the 13.7 million registered voters in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>From numbers posted Thursday morning by the Division of Elections, registered Democrats have returned nearly 485,000 vote-by-mail ballots to just under 406,000 from Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, almost 235,000 Republicans have gone to early voting locations, which have been available in more than half of Florida\u2019s 67 counties, compared to 211,000 Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>All 67 counties must make early voting available starting Saturday through Oct. 31.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats have outperformed Republicans in vote-by-mail ballots the past couple of election cycles, while Republicans who hold a 1.5 million advantage in registered voters have more than made up the numbers with early voting.<\/p>\n<p>Voters registered without a political party have cast 212,000 vote-by-mail ballots and about 93,000 ballots in early voting locations.<\/p>\n<p>The prior midterm election in 2022 drew 7.8 million voters, 53.8 percent of those registered.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"More than 1.6 million votes have been cast for the midterm election, with ballots from registered Democrats slightly&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":435768,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[28,30,29],"class_list":["post-435767","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-florida","tag-florida","tag-florida-headlines","tag-florida-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/435767","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=435767"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/435767\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/435768"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=435767"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=435767"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=435767"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
