\n\tYung Miami <\/a>had dreams of having Drake<\/a> hop on the remix of her platinum-certified \u201cSpend Dat\u201d summer anthem, but the 6 God didn\u2019t even reply when the City Girls rapper reached out. <\/p>\n

\n\tMiami stopped by Hot 97 to promote her Watch Dis solo debut album, which also arrived on Friday (Oct. 23). The rapper revealed that when she messaged Drake about getting a verse, he ended up leaving her on read.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDrake left me on read, I don\u2019t know. I\u2019m like, \u2018Drake, what did I do?\u2019 I love Drake. I f\u2013king love Drake,\u201d she repeated. \u201cJust tell me no. I\u2019m good with a no, but leaving me on read?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 32-year-old continued to shower Drizzy with praise and show love to the OVO rapper. \u201cI just respect Drake. Drake is Drake, period,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve always been a Drake fan, always gave him his flowers, personally love Drake, never rode the hate train. I personally love him, but I get it. When you go through things in the industry, that sh-t\u2019ll make you look at everybody differently.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis wasn\u2019t the first time she tried to notch a Drake<\/a> collaboration. She told Cam Newton\u2019s Funky Friday podcast in June that she messaged the 6 God <\/a>about hopping on a track titled \u201cTake Me to Chanel,\u201d which landed on her debut with features from Quavo<\/a> and G Herbo. <\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI was trying to get him on the song,\u201d she said. \u201cLike, I remember DMing him, but that\u2019s at the time when he was going through all his sh-t. And when people are going through their sh-t, like, I get it. I understand. It\u2019s just like, \u2018I gotta focus on me right now,\u2019 because these people trying to take me out. I can understand that, so I didn\u2019t take it personally.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMiami recalled: \u201cI was like, Drake, I think you would sound good on \u2018Take Me to Chanel.\u2019 He just liked the thing. He just liked the message. I\u2019m like, come on now, don\u2019t do that, Drake. Don\u2019t do that now. Because, when you called me, I was there. But nah, I f\u2013k with Drake. I understand.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKodak Black<\/a> and Lil Baby <\/a>ended up appearing on the \u201cSpend Dat\u201d remix, which reached the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 <\/a>(No. 17 peak). Miami also recruited Vybz Kartel <\/a>and Shenseea<\/a> for the international remix to her hit. <\/p>\n

\n\tBack in 2018, Yung Miami and Drake connected when he gave the City Girls<\/a> a massive boost by featuring JT and Miami on Scorpion\u2018s \u201cIn My Feelings\u201d and had them appear in the Billboard Hot 100 <\/a>No. 1 smash\u2019s visual. <\/p>\n

\n\tMiami\u2019s Watch Dis debut arrived on Friday with guest appearances from Rick Ross<\/a>, Travis Scott,<\/a> Bryson Tiller<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n
