\u00a0Rapper Bryant Myers arrested, accused of driving 113 mph in DeSoto County<\/a><\/p>\nJail records show Myers was released on bond, with amounts totaling $6,150 across four charges.<\/p>\n
The rapper’s arrest came after DeSoto County deputies said he was driving 113 mph in a 60 mph zone along U.S. 17 and continued driving for approximately seven miles despite deputies attempting to stop him.<\/p>\n
According to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, Myers faces charges of fleeing and eluding law enforcement with lights and sirens activated, exceeding the speed limit by 50 mph or more, possessing less than 20 grams of marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n
Jail records list a $5,000 bond for fleeing and eluding, a $150 bond for excessive speeding and $500 each for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n
From jail to the stage<\/p>\n
Despite his arrest earlier in the day, Myers appeared to make it to his scheduled Friday night performance in Tampa.<\/p>\n
Following his release from DeSoto County Jail, Myers Instagram account shared a story post indicating he still planned to perform in Tampa that night.<\/p>\n
“Tampa, hoy s\u00ed o s\u00ed. Ya estamo’ afuera,” the post read, roughly translating to, “Tampa, tonight no matter what. We’re already out.”<\/p>\n
Videos posted by at least five TikTok users appear to show the rapper performing that night, just hours after his release from DeSoto County Jail.<\/p>\n
Myers was scheduled to perform at Grand Fortune on East Fowler Avenue in Tampa, with doors opening at 9 p.m. it is unclear at this time whether the show started on time.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Myers has a substantial online following, with more than 10 million YouTube subscribers and millions of monthly listeners on Spotify.<\/p>\n
