He wasn\u2019t losing sleep over it, but he wanted to end that drought. And he did. On the power play no less. That, and more, in my latest Takeaways piece.<\/p>\n<p>Around The NHL<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New Jersey Hockey Now: Connor Hellebuyck is on his way out of Winnipeg and the Central Division. The New Jersey Devils pulled off a blockbuster trade for the disgruntled goaltender on Friday. It\u2019s unclear as of now when he\u2019ll join the team and how long he needs to get up to speed after sitting out all of training camp and the first month of the season. It\u2019s hard to even predict how he\u2019ll look this year after all this missed time. But the Devils needed a goalie and this could be a huge addition if he bounces back to pre-2026 form. <a href=\"https:\/\/newjerseyhockeynow.com\/devils-trade-connor-hellebuyck-jets\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Devils are in Denver next Wednesday.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Florida Hockey Now:\u00a0There\u2019s a lot of urgency for the Panthers to play well, and Paul Maurice is challenging his roster. The Panthers lost two brutal games in a row <a href=\"https:\/\/floridahockeynow.com\/paul-maurice-after-florida-panthers-lackluster-loss-i-need-to-get-their-attention\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">on back-to-back nights, starting in Ottawa.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Montreal Hockey Now: <a href=\"https:\/\/coloradohockeynow.com\/tag\/jake-evans\/\" class=\"pb-player-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jake Evans<\/a> finally found the scoresheet and it came <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsnaut.com\/nhl\/montreal-canadiens\/canadiens-blackhawks-highlights\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">at a perfect time for the Habs.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Boston Hockey Now:\u00a0Morgan Geekie is not scoring at anywhere close to the same pace as a season ago.
