JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 As a coastal flood warning<\/a> is in effect across our area through Tuesday, localized flooding and hazardous conditions have led to a variety of closures.<\/p>\n

The First Alert Weather Team has forecasted moderate to major tidal flooding and high winds to occur in coastal areas across Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, due to king tides<\/a> and a local nor\u2019easter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

First Alert Meteorologist Sarah Cantey<\/a> says flooding is expected to be the worst at high tides.<\/p>\n

As of Sunday afternoon, certain roads and public spaces in Duval, St. Johns and Nassau counties are experiencing closures:<\/p>\n

Timucuan Ecological & Historic Preserve<\/p>\n

The National Park Service announced that the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve will be closed Sunday, October 25, through Tuesday, October 26, due to hazardous flooding conditions. <\/p>\n

The park is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, October 28. <\/p>\n

Fernandina Beach<\/p>\n

The Fernandina Beach Police Department announced the following road closures Sunday, due to major flooding:<\/p>\n

Front Street and Centre Street to Alachua Street The 700 blocks of Dade Street and Calhoun Street<\/p>\n

Police ask that residents do not drive through standing water and observe road closure barricades.<\/p>\n

St. Johns County Beaches<\/p>\n

St. Johns County announced the following vehicular access ramps at its beaches are temporarily closed or restricted to certain vehicles, as of 1 p.m. Sunday:<\/p>\n
