Hosted by David Ajala, the \u201cOscars-style\u201d ceremony marked the highlight of The 2025 Golden Vines Weekend Celebration, which spanned from November 7\u20139. The atmosphere was one of refined celebration \u2014 an intersection of sophistication, creativity, and passion for craftsmanship. The evening opened with a Champagne reception featuring Dom P\u00e9rignon P2 Vintage 2008, a wine showcased for the first time before its global release, setting a tone of rarity and prestige. Guests were treated to a show-stopping breakdance performance that infused energy and surprise into the elegant affair.<\/p>\n

Among the distinguished guests were Ra\u00fal De Molina, Charlotte Carroll, and Diego Bivaro-Volpe, each joining an audience of global tastemakers. The culinary journey of the night was curated by three-Michelin-starred chef Kyle Connaughton of SingleThread Farm, whose menu offered an exquisite fusion of flavor, artistry, and seasonal refinement.<\/p>\n

Dishes included Kanpachi Zushi, Citrus Rice, Kohlrabi; Flounder with Habanada Sanbaizu and Myoga; Duck Liver Parfait with Salanova, Apple, and Pistachio; Lightly Smoked Black Cod with Roasted Caraflex Cabbage, Grilled Bone Glaze, and Black Cod Mousseline Stuffed Savoy; and Wagyu Ribeye with Caramelized Mugi, Vidalia Onion, and Bone Marrow Custard. Each course was paired with an exceptional selection of world-class wines: Ch\u00e2teau d\u2019Yquem, Ch\u00e2teau Lafite Rothschild 1989 (Imperial 6L), Colgin IX Estate (Magnum), II Marroneto Madonna delle Grazie Riserva 2013 (Magnum), and Egon M\u00fcller Auslese. The dining experience was elevated further with a soulful live performance by rising British-American artist Aiyana-Lee, blending sound and taste in a harmony of luxury.<\/p>\n

The Golden Vines\u00ae Awards recognized the most distinguished names shaping the world of fine wine and rare spirits. This year\u2019s honorees represented the pinnacle of craftsmanship and innovation across continents. Weingut Egon M\u00fcller of Germany received The Golden Vines Grant Macdonald Best Fine Wine Producer in Europe Award, while Harlan Estate of California was named Best Fine Wine Producer in the Americas.<\/p>\n

Henschke of Australia took home the award for Best Fine Wine Producer in the Rest of the World, and Vega Sicilia of Spain earned the prestigious title of World\u2019s Best Fine Wine Producer. The Golden Vines Slate Aviation World\u2019s Best Rising Star was awarded to Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines of South Africa, while Rosa Kruger of The Old Vine Project received The Golden Vines Amorim Cork Innovation Award for her pioneering work in sustainability and vineyard preservation.<\/p>\n

Other notable awards included The Golden Vines G\u00e9rard Basset Foundation Hall of Fame, presented to Jean Trimbach of France, and The Golden Vines Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Pana\u00efotis Sustainability Award, which honored Corison Winery of California for its commitment to responsible winemaking. In the realm of fine spirits, The Macallan of Scotland was celebrated with The Golden Vines Bacchus World\u2019s Best Rare Spirit Brand Award, a recognition of its mastery in craftsmanship and heritage.<\/p>\n

Each winner received a one-of-a-kind trophy designed by American artist Jen Stark, under the creative direction of Shantell Martin. Inspired by the precision of artistry and the intricate process of winemaking, the trophies were presented in custom-crafted trunks\u2014an embodiment of creativity meeting tradition.<\/p>\n

The night concluded with an important symbolic gesture as Vince Lago, Mayor of Coral Gables, officially passed The Golden Vines Baton to Lewis Chester, Co-Founder of The Golden Vines, marking the transition from Miami to London, which will host The 2026 Golden Vines Celebration next autumn.<\/p>\n

The weekend\u2019s celebrations also featured a charity gala on Friday, November 7, at the Alfred I. DuPont Building, hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Lisa Petrillo. During the evening, the two Barca-Velha Golden Vines Scholarship recipients were announced: Sera Svitlana Karamshuk (London) and Leila Tehrani-Killoran (France). Former NBA champion and wine entrepreneur Carmelo Anthony, co-founder of VII(N) The Seventh Estate, received The Golden Vines Entrepreneur Award, honoring his impact on blending sportsmanship, business, and fine wine culture.<\/p>\n
