King tide flooding and high winds are causing significant erosion and damage along the Palm Beach County shoreline and along the Treasure Coast, with locals witnessing debris and structural collapses.<\/p>\n

King tide flooding and high winds are causing significant erosion and damage along the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County coastline, with water levels rising and showing no signs of receding. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s insane. I\u2019ve been coming to Jupiter for 10 years and haven\u2019t seen it like this before,\u201d said a local resident. <\/p>\n

The combination of king tide and high winds has led to crumbling shorelines and debris in the water, including pieces of boardwalks and trees. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s been a lot of debris in the water from boardwalks, trees, and stuff though,\u201d said Vance Weyandt, a Jupiter resident. <\/p>\n

At Carlin Park in Jupiter, the historic civic center has been severely impacted, with steps, decks, and slate collapsing onto the beach due to erosion. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s kind of sad, but this is the beach where we spend a lot of our time, and hopefully it rebounds and comes back,\u201d said Chad Clasby, a Jupiter resident. <\/p>\n

Video footage shows bulldozers bringing in sand to help stabilize the shoreline, with the county\u2019s emergency contractor working for hours to protect the structure. <\/p>\n

While crews worked on the shore, some locals took to the water to enjoy the waves. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re actually a lot of fun. The water is a little gross, but a lot of people are out,\u201d Weyandt said. <\/p>\n

In West Palm Beach, flooding along South Flagler Drive: high tide is scheduled for roughly 10:30 p.m..<\/p>\n
