Trump said this morning that he doesn’t know whether Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan can win re-election in Alaska given that another candidate with the same name on the ballot<\/a> could siphon off votes from him. <\/p>\n

“I will tell you, he\u2019s a great senator, and what they tried to do, and he would, you know, he would have won,” Trump said in an interview with Kansas City talk radio host Pete Mundo. “I don\u2019t know how he can win here because you\u2019re splitting up the vote illegally. I think it\u2019s a total fraud.” <\/p>\n

The president said that the other candidate, Daniel J. Sullivan, should have been thrown off the general election ballot. <\/p>\n

Trump was referring to the revelations from a New York Times report <\/a>that Democratic candidate Mary Peltola’s campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee allegedly recruited the candidate with the same name as the incumbent senator. <\/a><\/p>\n

The president accused Democrats in Washington of orchestrating the reported scheme. The Senate Democrats campaign arm has denied any involvement, and at a campaign event last night, Peltola denied having any knowledge of the reported ballot-stacking effort.<\/p>\n

Trump compared the situation <\/a>to the 2020 presidential election, falsely claiming again that it was rigged.<\/p>\n

“Nobody\u2019s ever seen voter fraud like this,” Trump said this morning. “This is as bad, it\u2019s the same thing, actually, but it\u2019s as bad as what we went through in 2020, and what we always go through … We got rigged. We had a rigged election in 2020. We cannot ever let that happen again.”<\/p>\n

Trump also claimed that you need a “190 IQ to figure out the ballot” in Alaska now that another Dan Sullivan appears on it. The president alluded to the fact that the sitting senator is described as the incumbent on the ballot. <\/p>\n

“Most people don\u2019t know in Alaska, and a lot of other states too, what does incumbent mean? They don\u2019t know what incumbent means,” he claimed. <\/p>\n

The president was scheduled to travel to Kansas tomorrow and Iowa on Sunday to rally for Republican candidates in competitive races, but canceled those yesterday in favor of holding tele-rallies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Trump said this morning that he doesn’t know whether Republican Sen.
