The brick-and-mortar destination for\u00a0Olive My Pickle, a Jacksonville-based fermented foods brand founded by Charlotte and Shai Tzabari.<\/p>\n
Before opening the store in 2024, Olive My Pickle sold its products through farmers\u2019 markets and via e-commerce.<\/p>\n
The Pickle Factory, at\u00a05913 St. Augustine Road, brought the fermented foods brand experience to life in a physical space with many goals: part specialty grocery, part novelty shop, part \u201cpickle museum\u201d and part community gathering place.<\/p>\n
When it opened, the storefront reportedly measured around 2,000 square feet and featured thousands of products from pickled vegetables to novelty gifts and themed apparel.<\/p>\n
Now, bolstered by strong demand and customer excitement, the owners are scaling up by adding 1,500 square feet in a major move that will nearly\u00a0double\u00a0the current retail footprint.<\/p>\n
With the extra room, the Pickle Factory can stock more of its own line and more vinegar-based pickles from other producers.\u00a0Novelty items \u2014 from pickle-shaped hair clips to funky socks \u2014 will also gain more shelf space.<\/p>\n
This also will add more room for strolling, browsing and discovering. The expansion offers flexibility for themed displays, interactive areas, including tasting stations or mini workshops, and photo opportunities with pickle murals or the neon signage.<\/p>\n
The extra space should ease congestion during popular times, such as weekends and events, too. The shop also has the capacity to host more workshops and pop-ups without displacing core retail operations.<\/p>\n
