According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, officers responded to a disturbance call at a home on Bartell Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Chance standing in the street with a shovel.<\/p>\n<p>Body camera <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-15278087\/port-st-lucie-florida-teen-shovel-attack-police-car.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">footage shows Chance allegedly striking the police vehicle multiple times<\/a>, causing over $1,200 in damages. Officers ordered her to drop the shovel and get on the ground. She complied after officers pointed stun guns at her, and she was subsequently handcuffed and taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n<p>Chance now <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/news\/local\/bodycam-teen-arrested-in-psl-after-hitting-police-car-with-shovel-port-st-lucie-police-department-november-9-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">faces a felony charge of criminal mischief<\/a> due to the extent of the damage caused to the police cruiser. The Port St. Lucie Police Department emphasized that intentional damage to property will result in arrest, regardless of age.
